Privacy Policy

Harbor helps you organize physical spaces. To do that, you share photos of those spaces with us. We take that seriously: your home is private, and this page explains in plain language what we collect, why, and what control you have.

What we collect

• Photos and short clips you choose to send. Used to recognize what is in your space and build your plan. Stored with your project so you can pick up where you left off.
• Voice notes and speech you choose to send. Used so Rosie can understand your requests. Processed like any other message.
• Account info (email, name, sign-in provider) if you create an account. Anonymous use is supported for your first space; anonymous sessions are tied to a random identifier, not your identity.
• Your preferences and plans (space types, zones, steps, saved preferences) so Rosie remembers how you like things.
• Basic service data such as request counts and a hashed IP for anonymous rate limiting and abuse prevention.

How your content is processed

Photos, clips, and audio are sent securely to our servers on Google Cloud and processed with Google's Gemini AI models through the Gemini API to generate your plan, guidance, and previews. Content is encrypted in transit. Accounts and files live in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage).

We do not use your photos or messages to train our own models, and we do not permit their use for third-party advertising.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal data.
• We never share your photos with other users or the public. Sharing a before/after card is always your explicit action.
• We never show you ads based on your content.
• We never use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and we never build a profile of you across other websites.

How we count visits

We count page views on this website so we know how many people find us. We do it ourselves rather than through an analytics company, we set no cookies for it, and we do not track you from site to site.

The Harbor app does the same thing once when you open it, so we can tell how many people use the app rather than the website. It records only that the app was opened and on which platform. It does not record what you do inside it.

We do not store your IP address or your browser's user agent. We convert them, together with today's date and a secret value, into a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into either. Because the date is part of it, the same visitor tomorrow produces a different fingerprint, so we can count how many people visited today and nothing more.

Shopping links

When you opt in to product suggestions, Harbor links you to search results at retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Clicking those links takes you to the retailer's site, which has its own privacy policy. We do not send them your photos or personal data.

Retention and deletion

Your projects stay in your account so you can return to them. To delete a project, a photo, or your entire account and all associated data, email aniksshah1995@gmail.com from your account email and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Children

Harbor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the effective date above.
